Presentation is amazing but with the booking difficulty, slow service, wrong order and not above average flavour, it’s a once only visit for us.Panko-breaded, served with chipotle ranch. Especially when nearby bubble tea places had a wider range. Lots of matcha tea varieties but not much else, so this venue is ‘overegging the pancake’ by marketing this as somewhere that specialises in bubble tea. I love bubble tea, and this was the worst one I’ve ever had. My husband had the bbq vegan chicken pancake. When I queried my order with the waitress, she said ‘oh it’s just a garnish’. So an amalgamation of menu items, rather than what I actually ordered. What actually arrived was the Dutch apple pancakes, without the cotton candy and with forest fruits. I didn’t want forest fruits, so opted for the apple one. I was torn between ordering the cinnamon stack or Dutch Apple Pie stack. I had expected more of a ‘wow factor’ with the flavour, so a bit disappointed. The presentation of the food is so spectacular, that it overshadows the taste.
Took around 30 minutes from placing our food order to receiving it. So no Dutch apple pie to try.Īs with other reviews, we did experience exceptionally slow service. When we finally got there, no desserts available that day. Wasted trip, so had to reserve and go back the. We travelled across Amsterdam in torrential rain… only to be told ‘reservations only’. Having researched this online, and being vegan, I was excited to try this place whilst on a short break from the UK. just a general unwillingness to work with us to accommodate a super fan. Fair to say their was very little excitement from them on both occasions we arrived. She had even interacted with the restaurant on Instagram days before arriving saying how excited she was to bring a group of friends to this specific restaurant, which the mr stacks Instagram account user replied to saying "how exciting". She has very specific food requirements due to health difficulties and this partly explains why we all the made the effort and expense to visit this pancake place on 2 occasions.

Regardless, my friend went back again two days later to be told they had no tables once again and no gluten free food. We all need to eat but any self respecting business doesn't turn away customers so they eat their own supply.
We had phoned ahead to book and they said walk ins only max 15 minute wait, but when we arrived we were told we should have booked? Which is it? We could see a free table when we pointed it out to staff, they replied that was for the manager.
